Easy Way To Maintain A Swimming Pool

On hot summer days, a swimming pool is one of the best way to beat the heat. Unfortunately, before you can dive in, you have to go through the process of pool maintenance. What seems like a blessing of having your own pool in your backyard has somehow become a burden.

We did a research and came up with a simple routine for pool maintenance that won’t cost you a lot of time. In this way, you get to have more time actually enjoying the pool rather than taking care of it.

The first thing you do is to get rid of all the floating debris on your pool. Make sure to throw them away properly so they don’t get blown back into the pool.

The next step is to vacuum your pool. Depending on the size of your pool, vacuuming time can last to about 30 minutes.

Then check the pool chemistry and adjust accordingly. Work on the pH level first with muriatic acid or soda ash depending on what your pool water requires.

Now, its time to wash the filters. Backwash the filter and then wash the lint and hair catcher in the pump.

The last but definitely not the least step is to add chlorine to your pool’s system. You can use a chlorinator if you have one which is a great way to incorporate chlorine to your pool. If you don’t have one, you can try using a floating container but make sure kids won’t be able to get a hold of it.
